The 2014 Seminar, February 22 - 24, offered a US Sailing-sanctioned one-day training with an optional hands-on second training day, plus a free third day on-the-water session on use of the Lifesling.
The Sailing Foundation has been offering safety training seminars to Pacific Northwest sailors for decades. As the inventors of the Lifesling, keeping sailors safe is part of our core mission. The 2014 event was held on beautiful Bainbridge Island at the Bainbridge High School and Aquatic Center. This new venue offered several advantages:
The curriculum for our seminars is based on requirements established by US Sailing and ISAF. Those attending the Saturday session received a US Sailing certification. Those attending both days also received a ISAF certificate.
